The Best Places to Eat in Banff National Park

We spent 2.5 days in the Banff and Calgary area and had some delicious meals. We did try to find the best food in banff that we could. There are not a ton of restaurants, but there are some really yummy places available, as well as a grocery store if needed. Even though there are not a ton, we still did not have time to try everything we wanted. Here is our guide on The Best Places to Eat in Banff National Park.

Calgary-

First up Breakfast-
We ate at OEB Breakfast Co in Calgary before heading into Banff. It was fantastic. I had the Soul in a Bowl Breakfast Poutine and David had the Do Not Even Go There Crepe. Both were super yummy.

Banff-

Another yummy breakfast we had was at Tooloolous– a southern restaurant. We would have loved this place for lunch or dinner as well, but breakfast was phenomenal. We had the Cowboy Hash, Cheesy Grits, and Vik and Dik Eggs Benedict.

Another breakfast we had was at the Lake Louise Gondola. For $2 more, you could get a breakfast buffet with your lift ticket. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast. Nothing special. If you are doing the gondola, it may be worth it, but don’t go out of your way to eat at the lodge.

Lunch/ Dinner-
Bear Street Tavern– this place was so delicious. We had the Hawaiian Pizza (pulled pork, roasted pineapple, bell peppers, caramelized onions, apple bbq sauce, mozzarella) and the Cast Iron Spinach Artichoke Dip.

Usually we avoid chains when we travel, but we were starving and wanted something that was fast and easy so we went to Old Spaghetti Factory and it was actually delicious. Definitely a good option in Banff.

Treats:
Beaver Tails– Fried Scones with toppings, so delicious
Cow’s Ice Cream– This place was recommended on so many sites, and it was good, and we were definitely happy we tried it, but please be aware you are not getting the best ice cream in the world.

Other fun Canadian Treats-

Ketchup Chips
Smarties
Kinder Eggs

Others that were recommended that we didn’t get to:
Ramen Arashi

Banff is seriously a beautiful place with so many fun things to do and see and food to try. We hope our guide on the best places to eat in Banff National Park help you in your trip planning!
