Lover Themed Baby Shower

This summer a few friends and I got together to throw a friend a Taylor Swift Lover Themed Baby Shower. It was so magical and fun and it turned out so cute. We incorporated as much pink and blue that we could as well as tons of nods to Taylor Swift. I also was able to debut my cute bar cart that I made all by myself this summer. It turned out so cute and I just loved this lover themed baby shower.

Lover Themed Baby Shower Tips and Tricks

These tips apply to all baby showers and parties in general but they are some of my favorite things that help plan a fun and organized party.

  • Pick a theme and apply everything to that theme. Choose colors that are cohesive and you can use in a lot of places.
  • Utilize what you have before buying a lot of stuff. Invest in stuff you will use over and over again ie: candlesticks, table runners, tablecloths, vases, etc. Here is a link to my storefront where you can find some of my favorite stuff.
  • Decorate one central area to create a focal point. I love making a backdrop area, as well as setting the table really nice.
  • Florals- I love to decorate with flowers, I am lucky to live next to a trader joes, but you can grab inexpensive flowers from costco or a local grocery store and make your own arrangements.
  • Use cute paper products. There are so many specialty stores, including a few of my favorites Bonjour Fete, Jollity, and My Minds Eye. I also find super cute stuff on amazon as well.
  • Provide enough food. Plan more than you think you will need and save what you don’t use. I like to put out what I think we will use and keep the extra appropriately stored. Nothing is worse than planning a party around a meal and then not providing a full meal for your guests.
  • Bridge the gap between different friend groups. If you invite girls from different groups, make sure to make introductions and try to help everyone feel comfortable

Taylor Swift Themed Party Food

There are so many food options for a Taylor Swift Themed Baby Shower. You could honestly serve anything and give it an inspired name, enchanted pasta salad, “red” velvet cupcakes, shake it off milkshakes, etc…We served chicken salad sandwiches, pasta salad, green salad, fruit, and desserts. We also had a lemonade bar that was so fun to put together. My biggest piece of advice is to make sure you have enough food. I have been to a few parties where the food ran out quick and nothing is more awkward. A few more of my favorite things to serve are charcuterie, pulled pork sandwiches with slaw, pasta bars, nacho bars, and taco bars (are we sensing a theme here). There are so many yummy party options for food.

Taylor Swift Baby Shower Activities/ Games/ Ideas

We are not big on games at baby showers, but they can be fun. I usually opt out of doing them but we did have a few cute things that were really special. We grabbed this book and used it for guests to sign or write a sweet note. This book would also be really cute for that idea too.

Another really cute idea we did was have each guest bring an outfit from a different era. We assigned out the era with the invite and left it up to each guest to decide how they wanted to do it. As each outfit was opened, we had our friend guess what era it may be and then displayed it on a clothing rack.

Lover Themed Baby Shower

This baby shower theme was so much fun to put together. I love how everything came together and getting to celebrate a dear friend. I love each nod to Taylor Swift and making fun things to fit the theme. If you are on a budget, you can still throw a beautiful shower. Ask guests to bring an appetizer or dessert, do the shower between meals so you don’t have to have as much, and you can also grab cute supplies from the dollar store for really inexpensive supplies.

A few of my favorite things we used

Clothes rack | Heart Hand Statue | Arch Backdrop | Arch Covers | Heart Sunglasses | Blush Pink Balloons | Pink Balloons | Blue Balloons | Fruit Tray | Drink Dispensers | Disco Ball Vase | Clear Cups with Lids | Pink Table Runners | Blue Table Runners | Sequin Table Runners | Gold Candlesticks | Pink Glass Candlestick Holders | White Taper Candles
