Easy and Fun Back to School Traditions

I love traditions and creating special memories for my kids. We are barely at the school age level but it has been so much fun creating new traditions to make the transition exciting and hopefully a little bit easy. Back to school traditions do not have to be hard or time consuming to be memorable. Easy and fun back to school traditions also do not have to be expensive. You can create so many valuable, long lasting memories on a budget. Here are some of my favorite fun and easy back to school traditions.

10 Easy and Fun Back to School Traditions

-Gift your child a cute pair of jammies with a back to school book. If you already have a stash of books, I grab one from the pile, or you could buy a new one.

-Make a cute back to school wand for them. I love creating wands for different occasions so my daughter can associate them with what she is experiencing. She loves to play with them and I love to hype up school and the fun things they will do. Tutorial for the Pencil Wand Here

-Cute Apple Craft- cut out an apple outline out of paper and line it with contact paper. Let your little one sprinkle confetti and glitter on it- Full Tutorial Here

-Set up a cute back to school breakfast or snack time. It does not have to be elaborate or anything, but make it more special than a typical meal or snack. Here is my set up for this year, my daughter loved it. I just set the table really cute and served a regular snack. As she gets older I plan to serve a back to school feast dinner situation.

-Read fun back to school books together to prepare for the big day. You can also shop my Amazon Storefront for 40+ Back to School Books. My kids love to read and I think it is so important. We love using our library to get free books as well.

-Make Back to School themed treats. Here is a Rice Krispie tutorial, but this same concept would work for vanilla wafer cookies too.

-Apple Painting, this would be a super fun fall activity too, but cut apples and let your kids stamp them

    – Set their school supplies up in a fun basket to gift to them. When they are older make a big shopping day out of it.

Some of these ideas are really simple and easy, but thats what is great about it, most take hardly any time and prep and will add to the magical memories you are creating.

Let me know in the comment below if you plan on doing any or already do some of these traditions.
